‘Tis the season once again! Or haven’t you noticed? If you haven’t, you must be under a rock because even in non-Christian countries, celebrations for one thing or another ramp up around this time of year. There are plenty of reasons to smile but nothing brings out a smile faster than ice cream on a hot summer day! My two older daughters who have been away to college came home for the holidays which made me one happy momma! It turns out, it also made me on VERY tired momma as I filled one requests after another of their favorite dishes. Predictably, they requested comfort food that we have had over and over again. But I guess that’s why they are called ‘comfort food’. They always remind us of home and no matter … Read entire article »

Give Hope With Every Cup

October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support the cause for finding a cure for this cancer. Every year, more than 290,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. It is the most common cancer among women in the United States and it is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. In 2010, according to the American Cancer Society’s estimate, 39,840 women died from breast cancer. Although the number is lower than from previous years, that is still a staggering number. To keep the number of deaths on a downward slide, Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us that the fight is far from over; to keep us aware, keep us educated and empower us. Many organizations, as you may have noticed, are supporting this cause and Dannon is … Read entire article »
