Sweltering Heat, Cool Treat

Today was extreeemmmmely hott, so we are hiding inside, with our A.C. But we also took advantage of the time inside for some cool treats, one of them being a “traditional” banana split. This treat consisted of: 1 scoop vanilla ice cream, 2 mini bananas, a swirl of spray whipped cream and a maraschino cherry! mmmm. Then later I had a homemade ice coffee! This was a simple mixture of coffee, milk, and sugar(all to your desired taste and consistency, I had 1/2 milk, 1/2 coffee and a spoonful of sugar). Then topped it off with ice cubes, spray whipped cream and a cherry! bon appetit! … Read entire article »

LP8 – Virgin Strawberry Daquiris by jade

This was a really good smoothie, the original recipe wasn’t so good, so this was pretty much an experiment gone terribly right. However, the ingredients were very approximate so beware, and use your eye to measure most things, I also made many more variations of the drink in order to use up the whole bag of frozen strawberries, I added mango, orange juice etc. All turning out well. The first picture you will see is of the original recipe, which didn’t work well at all, and was mostly just water, flavored with lime. The second pic is of this recipe. yummy. Cracked iceRaspberry Sorbet1/2 oz. lime juice1 oz. frozen strawberries1 tsp. sugarorange slicestrawberry 1.Fill blender with cracked ice, lime juice, frozen strawberries, sugar and raspberry sorbet. Blend well.2.Pour … Read entire article »

LP8 – Virgin Margaritas by jade

Hey, this is a GrEaT! drink! I made it one day, when I was really bored, and wanted to use the blender. They are totally alcohol-FREE, but mom said they tasted as good as the real thing. BE CAREFUL with the salt, although it is VERY addicting, it makes the drink a little to powerful and…well, salty. So make sure you only coat a small layer on the top of the glass with lime so … Read entire article »
